Day 4: Bern-Gruyères-Gstaad-Montreux-Lausanne
Another day that started very early to make a tour of about 200 kilometers through the best roads and landscapes of the trip. These are the best points to stop during the tour and what to see in each of them:
The first stop of the day was Gruyeres about 70 kilometers from Bern.
This town is one of the most beautiful in Switzerland, located in the pre-Alps and with a medieval style that leaves enchanted anyone who visits.
The castle of St. Germain stands out and of course the magnificent Gruyere cheese.
Crossing the Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut Natural Park from Gruyeres, we arrive after 40 kilometers to Gstaad.
Gstaad is the greatest exponent of luxury in Switzerland.
One of the most expensive ski resorts in the world surrounded by wooden houses of absolute luxury and shops of the best brands.
After a journey of 55 kilometers from Gstaad we arrived at the Chillon castle
Located on a rock on the shores of Lake Geneva, it is one of the most visited historical buildings in Switzerland. For almost four centuries it was the residence of the Counts of Savoy.
You can visit the interior for € 12.50.
Five kilometers from the Chillon Castle is Montreux, a city where you can start to see the difference between the rest of the country and the area closest to France.
It is worth taking a walk along the shore of Lake Leman and admire the beautiful buildings of this city.
